Behold the big dog, a 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS 454 LS6. It is highly regarded as one of the most powerful and desirable muscle cars ever built. Part of the 1970 Chevelle SS lineup, it featured a 450 horsepower, 454 cubic inch V8 behemoth powerplant, making it the most potent engine offered in the Chevelle that year, even more powerful than the Corvette. Twist was 500 lb-ft and that massive low-end torque made it a beast on the street and track. The tire shredding car made a quarter-mile time in the 13.1 to 13.4 second range with a speed of around 106-108 mph in stock form.

Chevrolet produced 4,475 LS6 Chevelles, but there is no break down as to coupe, convertible and El Caminos.
This example has 62,345 miles on the clock and is original. Hagerty suggests a #2 (Excellent) condition LS6 Chevelle is trending over $160k. Dubbed 'King of the Streets' this 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle LS6 crosses the block at Mecum.
