1968 Ferrari 275 GTS/4 NART Spider

It's impossible to say which is the greatest Ferrari of all time. The 275 GTS/4 NART Spider makes a compelling case for itself when it very rarely comes up for sale. It's an occasion anytime a NART Spider comes up for sale because only 10 were built. Based on the 275 GTB coupe, Ferrari built the NART Spider at the request of Luigi Chinetti, the official U.S. importer for Ferrari.

A 3.3-liter Colombo V12 made 300 hp with six twin-throat Weber carburetors, spinning a five-speed gearbox. A one-owner 275 GTS/4 NART Spider sold for $27.5 million at a charity auction in 2013.

The final Ferrari NART Spider ever built was consigned for sale at RM Sotheby’s Monaco auction in 2016. Estimated at €19m to €23m the car did not change hands.

Developed specifically for NASCAR racing, the Superbird was a modified Road Runner, and was Plymouth's follow-on design to the Charger Daytona fielded by sister company Dodge. 1970 was its only production year. This top end example appears at Mecum.

1969 Chevrolet Yenko Camaro

A new listing at Mecum is noteworthy. 1969 Chevrolet Yenko Camaro, R443 at Kissimmee 2021 is one of 201 cars sold in 1969, 171 with four speed transmissions and 30 with automatic. A Yenko Camaro came with COPO 9561, a Special performance package including a L-72 427/425hp motor, special ducted hood, dual exhaust system, increased cooling capacity and special suspension. Yenko Camaros also received COPO 9737 Sports Car Conversion, which included a 140mph speedometer, 13/16" front stabilizer bar and 15x7 Rally Wheels with E70 raised lettered tires.

S/N 07967. 1 of 200 produced over a two year span. Extensive restoration completed in 2020. 3.3L Colombo V-12 engine. Three Weber twin-choke carburetors. Ansa exhaust system. Rated at 260 HP and 217 ft/lbs of torque. 5-speed manual gearbox. Independent front and rear suspension with unequal-length a-arms and coil springs. 4-wheel hydraulic drum brakes. Introduced at the Paris Auto Show in 1964, the Ferrari 275 GT represented a significant leap forward for Ferrari.
