1940 Harley-Davidson EL Knucklehead

Original paint. Arguably the finest original paint benchmark 1940 knucklehead in the world. Offered at No Reserve. The Harley-Davidson Model EL ‘Knucklehead’ was introduced in 1936 with a 61 cu-in. (1000cc) V-twin with overhead valves and a recirculating oiling system. The ‘Knucklehead’ engine got its name from the aluminum rocker covers which gave the appearance of a fist.

This 1940 Harley-Davidson EL Knucklehead is a factory original motorcycle and very likely the best in the world.  In 2014 it brought $159k. It will very likely break that mark.
