1969 Chevrolet COPO Camaro at Mecums - $175k high bid

Of the estimated 1,000 COPO 9561 Camaros produced in 1969, 75 were destined for dealerships in Canada.

This example features the legendary L72 427/425 HP V-8 engine.
Canadian COPO Camaros were the same as U.S. versions. Except for the ridged hood and exhaust rumble there was little giving away the fact that this was one of the most powerful cars in the world.
COPO is an acronym for Central Office Production Order. COPO was the method used by dealers in the know to order very special cars.
The performance of these cars represent the absolute apex of the muscle era and their values reflect it to this day. $175k to $200k
