| The L-82 dropped an astonishing 45 hp in 1975, and delivered 205 hp. This was the last convertible for the 1968-82 third-generation and only 12% of the cars were ordered as such. 366 were built with the number of 4-speeds unknown. Car and Driver recorded a 7.7 second 0-60 time in a 1975 base engine-automatic, making the Corvette still one of the fastest cars available at the time. This example sold for $8,100, a huge number in 1975.  |  |
