1970 Ford Mustang Boss 429 - $252k

In total there were 1358 original Boss 429s made, 859 in 1969 and 499 in 1970. This example is fully concours restored and finished in Calypso Coral over black.
Ford developed a new 429ci V-8 with free-flowing cylinder heads, an aluminum high-rise intake manifold, a 735 CFM Holley carburetor, 11.0:1 compression, header-style exhaust manifolds, and a four-bolt main block. It was laughably rated at 375 horsepower. Kar Kraft shoehorned the engine into the Mustang. The Boss 429 was the priciest non-Shelby Mustang at a ridiculous $4,087.
The car is an award winner and made $252k against an estimate of $250k to $300k.
