![]() | Toyota debuted the fourth-generation Supra in 1993. At the top of the line sat the Supra Turbo, with its twin-turbo straight-six delivering power to the rear wheels through a six-speed manual gearbox. In Japan, the car was conservatively rated at 276 hp. Overseas that number was 321 hp with 315 foot-pounds of torque. Toyota created a supercar-eating monster that would grow into a cult icon. |
The 2JZ-GTE engine quickly became legend. Power was sent through a manual unit from Getrag with top speed limited to 150mph. Entry price was a highly reasonable $39,900 in 1993. Supras of this ilk have become some of the most sought after Toyotas. This example has less than 10,000 miles on the clock and made $137k. | ![]() |
