![]() | SCCA rules required Dodge to sell production editions of it's track car, and Dodge responded with the Challenger T/A. Race cars ran a destroked 305ci version of a 340ci V-8. It had a four-barrel carb and 440 bhp. Street T/As kept the 340, but upped that with a trio of two-barrel Holleys on top of an Edelbrock aluminum intake manifold. The T/A carried the same 290 bhp rating as four-barrel 340s, though that was actually closer to 350 bhp. |
