The car was subsequently given a nut-and-bolt restoration, with total expenses approaching €300k. The car was sold after restoration to a European client and driven very sparingly, before its acquisition by the current seller.
Offerred at the Amelia Auction 2025 Saturday, 08 March 2025 the icon carried an estimate of $4.5m to $5m. It made $4.4m. Here.
The last and most famous Miura, the P400SV or Miura SV, was presented in 1971. It featured 380 hp at 7,850 rpm with the last 96 SV engines endowed with a split sump. This prevented metal shavings from the transmission causing expensive engine damage. Lamborghini's flagship, the Miura received periodic updates and remained in production until 1973. A year later the Countach entered the company's lineup.
