The Delorean had the looks of a sports car, but its performance and road capabilities were anemic. A 2.85L V6 managed 130 HP. Although only built until 1982, remaining examples were sold until 1983. ($182,800) Known as the "SI", the car is a classic British sports car, featuring a 3.8-liter version of the Jaguar XK engine and famous for its speed and handling. Values have retreated over the last three years, but that has brought them within reach of a new generation of Gen Xers. Prices have rebounded by 8% in the past year and now is the time to buy says Hagerty. |
