1969 Ford Mustang Mach 1 Fastback - $143k

157 miles since comprehensive, nut and bolt restoration to factory specs. 428 CI Cobra Jet V-8 engine. 4-speed manual transmission. 3.91 Traction-Lok differential. Shaker hood. The 428 cu in (7.0L) Cobra Jet was hugely underrated at 335 horsepower and 440 lb-ft of torque. The Mach 1 was an immediate commercial success, selling 72,458 units at a starting base price of $3,122. Ford provides no numbers for each engine type, but the upgrade to the 428 Cobra Jet (CJ) or Ram Air CJ engine added an extra factory option cost of $224 to $421, bringing a typical new CJ-equipped total sticker price to around $4,000.
This nifty example crossed the block at Mecum.
