The Monkeemobile is a modified Pontiac GTO that was designed and built by designer Dean Jeffries for The Monkees, a pop-rock band and television program. It later resurfaced in Puerto Rico as a hotel courtesy car.
It was sold at government auction in 1992 for $5,000 when the hotel went out of business. It was last in the hands of a collector in New Jersey.

It was Ford's intent to win at NASCAR, and homologation rules allowed the company to utilize its new Boss 429 motor in a production car. Production of the Boss 429 began in 1968 at Kar Kraft’s assembly facility in Brighton, Michigan. The Boss 429 CI V-8 engine was ridiculously underrated at the advertised 375 HP and 450 lb-ft of torque. With only a 2-year production run in ’69 and 1970, they are among the rarest, most sought after Mustangs in the world. 1358 Boss 429s were made, 859 in 1969, and 499 in 1970.

Dozens of Jaguars, BMWs and Mercedes have been left with the keys in the ignitions by former owners who decided to cut their losses and run away rather than face potential jail sentences under Dubai’s strict debt laws. More than 3,000 cars are abandoned every year — to be sold off by Dubai police or scrapped.
High end sports cars gather dust at Dubai and Abu Dhabi airports after panicked expats flee the country to avoid prison. Under Sharia law which is observed across the Middle East, non-payment of debt is a criminal offence. As the UAE has no bankruptcy laws, there is no protection for those slipping into debt, even accidentally. There have been cases of foreigners being prevented from leaving the Emirates after being blacklisted.

In 1965, the supercar didn't really exist - until the Miura. It was the first supercar; a car on a different level from all those that preceded it. Gian Paolo Dallara and assistant Paolo Stanzani designed the steel tub chassis that placed Bizzarrini’s V12 engine directly behind the driver in a transverse position. The final design was first presented as a bare chassis at the 1965 Turin Motor Show.
The Miura SV was launched at the 1971 Geneva Salon. It was the refined swansong of the car that made its debut at the same event in 1966. In total 148 SV Miuras were produced before the last car rolled off the line early in 1973. Today, the Miura SV is widely recognized as the most collectible Lamborghini ever made.

Ford Motor Company's answer to the Cadillacs and Imperials of the day was the flagship Lincoln Continental. One concern was Lincoln's smaller size, the implication being that smaller equaled less. Lincoln answered that by advising that the Continental was the heaviest of the top luxury cars, and this added weight meant better soundproofing, better body construction and higher quality. The land yacht was around 5,000 lbs, 300 pounds more that the hard top. Base price in 1961 was $6,715.
