1991 Ferrari F40

U.S.-market example offered with 1,701 original miles. One of 213 Ferrari F40s in U.S. spec and 1,315 produced between 1987 and 1992. The car made its debut on 21 July 1987, in Maranello. Enzo Ferrari himself was present for the unveiling. As the story goes, when the covers came off, the notoriously stoic founder leaned into the microphone and said simply, “Bello, molto bello.” (beautiful, very beautiful) The F40 would be the last car Enzo Ferrari signed off on.
A twin-turbocharged 2.9-liter V8 yielded 478 horsepower, delivered to the rear wheels via a five-speed open-gate manual. Zero-to-60 mph came in under four seconds onto a top speed just north of 200.
The F40 offered no power steering, no ABS, and no traction control. It was loud, hot, demanding and built for drivers, not passengers. The suggested retail price was $423,250 — nearly three times the cost of a Testarossa. One of the greatest supercars ever built, the Ferrari F40 occupies a near-mythical status and is firmly among the 'top 5' of modern Ferrari. This example appears at Broad Arrow and carries an estimate of $3.3m to $3.5m.
