1959 Cadillac Series 62

390 CI V-8 engine. Hydra-Matic 4-speed automatic transmission. Power steering. Power brakes. Factory air conditioning. Power windows. Cruise control. Red leather upholstery. The sixth generation 1959 Cadillac is remembered for its iconic huge tailfins with dual bullet tail lights. The new model year also saw two distinctive rooflines and roof pillar configurations, new jewel-like grille patterns and matching deck lid beauty panels. For 1959, the Series 62 became the Series 6200. Engine output was 325 hp from the 390 cu in (6.4 L) engine.
With the De Villes and 2-door Eldorados starting their own series, sales plunged to 70,736 units in 1959. The 1959 Cadillac Series 62 and its siblings were the most outrageously styled full-sized hardtop sedans ever sold to the public. All body styles featured a tailfin silhouette that signified an entire era of automotive styling. All 1959 Cadillacs featured a 225-inch body on a 130-inch wheelbase. Transmission was a four-speed Hydra-Matic, with no manual-shift models available.

1957 Chevrolet El Morocco Convertible - $220k

1 of 10 examples from 1957 known to exist. Concours restoration. 78 miles since restoration. 283 Cl V-8 engine. Powerglide 2-speed automatic transmission. 4-barrel carburetor. Harbor Blue paint and two-tone upholstery. The Chevrolet El Morocco was a customized full-size car produced by Canadian businessman Reuben Allender based on the 1956 and 1957 Chevrolet. Looking for a name that sounded like 'Eldorado', but not wanting to get into trouble from Cadillac, he chose 'El Morocco,' using a popular Manhattan nightclub. He had the brand legally registered, so all El Moroccos were licensed as such, not as Chevrolets. Allender bolted and epoxied Eldorado-style fibreglass tailfins to the rear deck and used side moldings borrowed from the Eldorado. He modified the grille by removing the Chevy crest while retaining the "V" emblem on the hood. He also added large Dagmar front bumper guards.
The '57 El Morocco sported metal Eldorado-style rear fins welded to the rear quarters. Bright side "scoop" moldings on the rear quarter panels gave the car a resemblance to the stupid expensive $13,000 Cadillac Eldorado Brougham.
Even though the El Morocco cost much less than a Cadillac, it was still pricey for a Chevrolet, which caused muted demand for the car. It was too far out of reach for most consumers, and too close to the base price for the holy grail Cadillac. Between 10 and 20 El Moroccos were produced in 1956 and 1957. Ten hardtop sedans, two hardtop coupes, and two convertibles were created in 1957. Today, the El Morocco is a valuable collector's car, and the convertible is beyond that. This pristine, nearly one of a kind example crossed the block at Mecum.

1935 Auburn 851SC Boattail Speedster - $675k high bid

Supercharged 280 CI Lycoming Straight Eight engine. Schweitzer-Cummins centrifugal supercharger. 3-speed synchromesh transmission. By 1931, Auburn offered a stylish boattail Speedster design—penned by designer Alan Leamy. In 1934, the Great Depression pushed Auburn to curtail production of its V-12 and return to 6-cylinder models. It introduced an impressive straight-8 powered 851 Boattail Speedster, which many consider one of the most beautiful automobiles of the Classic Era. 147 were built for the 1935-36 model years. The Model 851 was updated and aerodynamically restyled by Gordon Miller Buehrig, who later designed the iconic front-drive 810 and 812 Cords.
The engine is a 280 CI Lycoming straight 8-cylinder that developed 150 HP at 4,000 RPM using the Schweitzer-Cummins centrifugal supercharger. A 3-speed, floor-shifted synchromesh transmission sends power to the 2-speed rear end. This powerful combination led test driver Ab Jenkins to 70 new American and international stock class speed records, among them the mile at 104.17 MPH and 1,000 miles at 102.77 MPH. A plaque was attached to the instrument panel of each Speedster verifying the Speedster had been driven in excess of 100 MPH by Ab Jenkins.

The classic appears at Mecum. Estimate is $600k to $700k

The latest from Calgary's Danny Keith Martin is a straight-up death threat sent on June 25, 2025 via the g-mail account hungrytruckerdann@gmail.com.
Danny Keith Martin has serious mental health issues, and they are obvious. The latest proves he has lost touch with reality and may be dangerous to the public. That being so I reported his threat to the Calgary police and to G-mail so that his account can be pulled. Danny Keith Martin has no recognition that what he does has consequences and is criminal. His offense falls under CC 264.1 (1) and that has a maximum sentence of 5 years in jail.

We've blocked Danny Keith Martin's g-mail account hungrytruckerdann@gmail.com, but will that stop his death threats? Its likely the only thing that will correct Danny Keith Martin are handcuffs. Those are coming.
