1969 Lamborghini Miura P400 S by Bertone - £1.2m

The S was a result of continuous improvement over the production run of the P400 and was first made available in 1968. Its engine now producing 370 bhp care of higher-lift camshafts with revised timings and four Weber 40IDL-3L carbs. The Miura S also boasted updated brakes and a handful of other changes. This Miura S would be it's owner's most cherished possession for just over four decades, until his passing in 2015.

Never fully restored, chassis 4245 remains in spectacular original condition throughout. The car retains its original engine and still sports its original Giallo Flay paint.

Lamborghini’s beautiful, awesomely powerful, and ground-breaking mid/rear-engine Miura set a new bar for performance cars, and it was the opening salvo of the Italian supercar battle that followed.
<The Miura S was manufactured in quantity of no more than 338 examples and it is widely considered by many marque enthusiasts to be the definitive Lamborghini. The car holds a special place in the hearts of sports car fans and collectors.
