1973 Ferrari 365 GTB/4

The Ferrari Daytona, officially designated the Ferrari 365 GTB/4, is a two-seat grand tourer produced by Ferrari from 1968 to 1973. It was introduced at the Paris Auto Salon in 1968 to replace the 275 GTB/4.

It is a traditional front-engine, rear-drive car. Between 1968–1973 1,284 were produced. Between 1971-1973 another 122 factory-made spyders were made. This example made $880k in 2014.
The engine was a 4.4 L DOHC V12 with a 60° bank angle, 365 cc per cylinder, featuring six Weber twin carburettors. It produced 352hp could reach 280 km/h (174 mph) and 0-60 mph (97 km/h) in 5.4 seconds.

The five-speed manual transmission was mounted in the rear, and a four-wheel independent suspension featured wishbones and coil springs. The car was voted top sports car of the 1970s by Sports Car International. Motor Trend named it as number two of their "Greatest Ferraris."
The car sold for a ridiculously expensive $19,700 in 1972. Like all Ferraris the Daytona is highly collectible with ordinary examples going for $ 800k and up.
The only known aluminum alloy Daytona was sold September 9, 2017 at Sotheby's. The 'barn find' 1969 Ferrari 365 GTB/4 Daytona Berlinetta Alloy by Scaglietti made €1.807.000
