‘Holy Grail’ 1967 Corvette L88 - $4m

Beneficiary of an obsessive 10-year restoration, this Sunfire Yellow coupe epitomizes everything Corvette.

With a 427-cubic-inch big block engine, heavy duty suspension and the 'Rock Crusher' four-speed manual transmission, the vehicle screams track even before the air conditioning and heater delete. L88s competed at the greatest racing venues, including Le Mans and the 24 Hours of Daytona.
Most L88s didn’t make it without significant body work or losing original parts, including their engines. Roughly half of the 20 made for 1967 are thought to still exist. This example retains it's original engine and might be the last on earth.

The seller is asking $4m and that could be a bargain. In 2014, a 1967 L88 Coupe sold at Barrett-Jackson for $3.85 million.
