Fux collection 2022

Originally of Cuba, Micheal Fux and his family immigrated to the United States when he was a teenager. He founded several companies, most notably the mattress-makers Sleep Innovations and Comfort Revolution. Today he is a multimillionaire. His car collection has few peers and he rarely puts much mileage on his beauties before selling them off. His 2020 McLaren Speedtail sold for $3.3m. Here are a few other Fux cars appearing for sale. 1964 Galaxie 500 - $104k

Less than 10 miles since frame-off rotisserie concours restoration. Multiple award winner. Q Code 427/410 HP V-8 engine, as approved for NASCAR competition. Original HEH-H Toploader 4-speed manual transmission. Rare NOS Chrome engine dress-up kit. Rare factory engine temperature warning system.

The Ford Galaxie is a full-sized car that was built by Ford for model years 1959 through to 1974. The name was used for the top models in Ford's full-size range. For 1962, all full-size Fords wore the Galaxie badge, with "500" and "500/XL" denoting the higher series.
1964 was the fourth and final year of this body style. The Galaxie 500 was available with everything from the thrifty Mileage Maker Six to the 427-cu.in. Q and R-code monsters. The single four-barrel engine produced 410 horsepower.
This truly pristine example made $104k at Mecum.

1969 Chevrolet Corvette COPO L88 Convertible

The only COPO L88 known to exist. 2009 Bloomington Gold Special Collection. 2009 Race Car Reunion at Carlisle. 2007 Chevy Vettefest showcase vehicle. Affirmation certificate by Al Grenning April 2009. Previously displayed at the National Corvette Museum. Ran in competition in several racing seasons, including at Daytona and Sebring. 427/430 HP V-8 engine, 1 of 116 built. 4-speed manual transmission. Daytona Yellow over black.
Was to be sold at the Mecum Indy 2022 auction but was pulled by the seller.

1970 Plymouth Superbird - $176k

Built date November 30, 1969. Code J97285 order number. Matching numbers code E87 440 6 BBL V-8 engine. 4-speed manual transmission. Code EV2 Hemi Orange. Pistol grip shifter. Hood tachometer. 150 MPH speedometer. Superbirds had three engine options: the 426 Hemi V8 engine producing 425 bhp at 5000 rpm and 490 lb⋅ft at 4000 rpm, the 440 Super Commando Six Barrel with 3X2-barrel carburetors producing 390 hp, and the 375 hp 440 Super Commando with a single 4-barrel carburetor. 135 examples were armed with the 426 Hemi.
Figures say as many as 2,783 Superbirds were built. 1,935 Superbirds is the long accepted number. The Superbird and the Dodge Charger Daytona were each built for one model year only (1970 and 1969 respectively).
Values for top examples have been doing extremely well. This example appeared at Mecum in 2021.
