1967 Shelby GT500 Fastback - $374k

Early in 1965, Shelby announced the Cobra II with a 427 cu. in. V-8 replacing the 289. By 1967 the GT 500 appeared, and except for a few subtle differences, its engine was the same as the one that propelled Shelby’s Fords to victory at Le Mans. In 1967, a total of 2,048 Shelby GT500 Fastbacks were produced.

Shelby no. 643. 1 of 47 produced with these color, trim and mechanical combinations. Multiple-time Concours award winner. Concours restoration completed in 2007. 428 CI Police Interceptor engine. Dual 4-barrel carburetors. Toploader 4-speed manual transmission. Power steering. Power brakes with front discs. Finished in Dark Blue with White striping.

Factory finished in Dark Blue Metallic paint with Wimbledon White Le Mans stripes and a Parchment interior. Shelby added the cast-aluminum medium-rise intake manifold from Ford's 427, twin 600-cfm Holley four-barrel carburetors, and other tweaks for a conservative rating of 355 bhp. The car crossed the block and made $374k in 2022 at Mecum.

The 1967 Shelby GT 500 got a reworked 428-cid 'Police Interceptor' which made far more than the touted 355 bhp.

Prices for top end collector cars has retreated from their highs. Hagerty suggests today that a top end example is trending around $275k.

1959 Ferrari 250 GT LWB California Spider Competizione - $9.4m

The second of eight aluminum-bodied Ferrari 250 GT LWB California Spider Competiziones. First California Spider equipped from the factory with competition-specification, outside-plug Type 128 F engine. Few Ferraris of any era can match chassis 1451 GT's combination of period racing success, preservation, and continued significance in concours events. It is among the most significant Ferraris ever built.

2018 Porsche 911 GT2 RS - $594k

103 miles. Weissach package. Miami Blue exterior. 3.8L/700 HP twin-turbocharged flat 6-cylinder engine. 7-speed PDK automatic transmission. Magnesium center lock 20 and 21-inch wheels in Satin Black. Carbon ceramic brakes with Yellow calipers. Front axle lift system. RS stands for Renn Sport and indicates the car’s track-centric mission. 700 horses comes courtesy of a twin-turbocharged 3.8-liter flat-six with a water-spraying system to cool its intake charge. The Weissach package shaved 40 pounds at the cost of an extra $31k. Curb weight is 3241 pounds, forgoing both the infotainment system and air conditioning. Zero-to-60-mph comes in 2.7-seconds and Porsche limited top speed to 211 mph to prevent the tires from evaporating. The GT2 RS is technology overload, from the carbon-fiber anti-roll bars to lightweight carpets and extra-thin glass closely related to that used in cellphone screens. Rattles and vibrations are part of the equation at low speeds with surplus flesh wobbling over even smooth roads. This endearment improves greatly as speed increases. Peak power arrives at 7000 rpm, just 200-rpm shy of the red-line limiter. The GT2 RS is a pinnacle car, one that sits at the top of the Porsche range in terms of both its price and performance. 1967 Ferrari 275 GTB/4 - $3,025,000

S/N 09495. Scaglietti body no. A0037. Correct 3,286cc four-cam V-12 engine, believed to be 1 of only 2 spare engines produced by the factory. Engine type 226 with internal no. 1572, believed to have been mounted on the chassis in the late 1960s. Ferrari Classiche Certification Red Book. Refreshed in Grigio Ferro in 2011. Ferrari’s last dual-purpose grand touring model, the four-cam 275 GTB/4 is the most potent and highly developed evolution of the 275 series.

The 275 series were the first road-going Ferraris equipped with a transaxle and independent rear suspension. The rear wheels were driven by a 5-speed manual transaxle with syncromesh and a limited-slip differential. 330 were built in total.

Barn find 1966 Ferrari 275 GTB Alloy - $2.5m

Gooding's top seller at Amelia Island in 2018 was a barn-find 1966 Ferrari 275 GTB which made $2.5m. The 275 was of the long-nose, torque-tube type. It was found with a 1967 Shelby 427 Cobra, which sold for $1,045,000.

Both cars had been stored in a North Carolina garage, untouched, since 1991. The home was slated for demolition.

1939 Cadillac V-16 Convertible Sedan - barn find - $63k

The first two cars built purportedly went to the White House and were used by President Roosevelt.

9,300 miles. Barn find. No. 3 of 4 produced. Roll-up glass divider window. 431 CI V-16 engine.

The car changed hands at Mecum in 2022.

1971 Lamborghini Miura P400 SV - $4.4m

Arancio Miura orange over Gobi beige. One of only about 150 “SV” specification Miuras built. European specification model with extensive history. Nut-and-bolt restoration by award-winning Modenese Lamborghini experts. Retains its matching-numbers engine. After 30 years the car showed about 60,000 original kilometers. The car was subsequently given a nut-and-bolt restoration, with total expenses approaching €300k. The car was sold after restoration to a European client and driven very sparingly, before its acquisition by the current seller.

Offerred at the Amelia Auction 2025 Saturday, 08 March 2025 the icon carried an estimate of $4.5m to $5m. It made $4.4m. Here.

The last and most famous Miura, the P400SV or Miura SV, was presented in 1971. It featured 380 hp at 7,850 rpm with the last 96 SV engines endowed with a split sump. This prevented metal shavings from the transmission causing expensive engine damage. Lamborghini's flagship, the Miura received periodic updates and remained in production until 1973. A year later the Countach entered the company's lineup.
